It Is Impossible To Go To The Moon

It wasn’t too long ago that it was not just widely believed but fact that it was impossible to go to the Moon. In the scheme of things, it wasn’t that long ago that it was “fact” that it was impossible to sail around the world.

In hindsight, it sounds silly, doesn’t it?

Truth is, I am often flat out amazed we made it to the Moon. Specially with a political entity like NASA controlling it. Humans went to the Moon with less computing power than many of our common kitchen appliances have today. We went to the Moon by strapping men on top of the MOST terrible war machine ever built. We threw them at a rock, let them “fall” back to Earth and let them crash into the ocean and picked them up with a glorified fishing pole.

Amazing.

Actually, the amazing part isn’t so much that they did it, but that they decided it was a practical plan.

Have no doubts, they knew what they where doing… astronauts used to call themselves “Missile Men” as a term of respect and acknowledgment to the insanity they where undergoing.

I cannot put into words the amount of sheer respect I have for these people.

Just something for you to think about next time you hear something is “impossible”.
